A ceramic sharpening rod or "steel" is a great tool to use to reset the edge. This ceramic steel is slightly less abrasive than a diamond steel and will gently sharpen knives, resulting in a finer edge.
Although ceramic is harder than steel, it is brittle and will break if dropped. However, as opposed to a honing steel, the ceramic rod will actually grind away material from the knife, allowing it to reset the edge.
